Outline of program
"Special education program on technology management strategy for foreign students from Asia (abbreviated name: Asia technology management program)"
Implement special education program on technology management for foreign students from Asia to play a key role in technological development section or intellectual property section in a Japanese company. Develop human resources to support R&D strategy for Asia by adding practical lecture on global business and legal system to the existing curriculum for studies on technological strategy.
The following six items are to be implemented from the latter half of FY 2007 for the achievement of self-sustainability in four years
1. Special education program with collaboration between industry and academia
Incorporate new subjects (Global business, R&D management for Asia and International intellectual property management) in this program, based on three pillars consisting of "Technological development studies" (group A), "Management science" (group B) and "Studies on intellectual property strategy" (group C).
2. Business Japanese language / Japanese business education
Implement Japanese business education through practical courses to acquire Japanese language skills for business scenes, business Japanese language for learning specialized knowledge and skills and common sense and knowledge for business in Japan.
3. Internship program
Implement special internship program to deepen knowledge on Japanese companies through the actual experience of what students have learned in Japanese business program.
4. Job hunting support program
Conduct more detailed job hunting support program by an exclusive career adviser.
5. Research program
Conduct survey on needs of companies to foreign students from Asia studying technology management and survey on the level of research by overseas universities to secure foreign students.
6. Foreign student promotion program
Implement two pillars to secure foreign students by dividing Asia into two regions: China and other Asian countries.

Goal of human resources development
Human resources who have the following knowledge and abilities are expected to be placed in technological planning section or project development section to play a core role in overseas affiliated companies in China and other Asian countries:
Knowledge on technology management
Ability to implement case study for technology management and acquire practical and logical solutions for real problems thorough the case study
Knowledge on business in Asia
Knowledge and experience of business in Japan.
