"Development of foreign students of science, technology and pharmacy by utilizing resources in Hokuriku area for industry-academia-government collaboration"

Accept excellent foreign students from Asia in the field of science, technology and pharmacy corresponding to the needs of companies participating in the project and develop well qualified human resources with specialties, communication skills in Japanese and understanding of traditional culture of Kanazawa who are expected to play a key role in Japanese companies, through distinctive and specialized education program on mechatronics, IT and drug discovery utilizing industry-academia-government resources in Hokuriku

Develop and implement the following seven programs under the cooperation among universities, companies implementing the project and the participating companies

1. Specialized education with collaboration of industry and academia

Implement specialized education, Japanese language / Business Japanese education and practical education in the company by accrediting system

2. Business Japanese language / Japanese business education program

・ Japanese language, business Japanese language, Management of Technology (MOT) and Japanese business education

・ Conversational ability in Japanese, ability to read and create business documents and understanding of Japanese corporate culture

3. Internship program

・ Technology training in company (for three to four months: two days/week)

・ Corporate business training (intensively conducted during vacation)

4. Job hunting support

Placement of career counseling and implementation of employment and exchange seminars

5. Research program

Survey on needs from industries, needs for development of text materials and for the evaluation after sending foreign students to companies

6. Program to promote foreign students

Establish places for examination in five countries in Asia (China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia) and receive application from designated schools. Also, actively implement overseas promotions.

7. Project management program

Organize the project implementation committee to supervise the total implementation of the program and conduct planning

Development of highly-specialized human resources who play a key role in companies in the field of machinery, mechatronics, IT, electronics, drug discovery and analysis, material chemistry and social infrastructure.

Human resources who have improved abilities to gather analyze and summarize information, capacity for teamwork, presentation abilities, discussion abilities and skills in business manners to seek the problem-solving methods and acquire activeness and ability to take a step forward.

Develop human resources who can discover an issue to improve things with constant awareness and who can acquire abilities to think through the methods and process for the solution.
