Outline of program
"Program of cultivating super-engineers in automobile industry"
Recently, the Japanese automobile industry (manufacturers of both finished products and piece parts) is rapidly expanding production bases in Asia. So, expectation on foreign students is high since they can be executives at those bases in future. To fulfill this expectation, this program trains "super-engineers" who are familiar with automobiles, who have understanding on Japan and who also have a global sense, through industry-academia cooperation. Though the program accepts foreign students from various majors, a theme of master's thesis must be the one related to automobiles.
1. Cultivate broad visions related to automobiles and automobile industry
Cultivate broad visions related to automobiles, from global management strategies to social issues including global environment and safety, as well as technical understanding
・Introduction to automobile engineering (from various new technologies to global strategy)
・Detailed studies of automobile engineering (excluding themes related to major fields)
2. Develop managerial grounding
Utilize a series of class subjects related to MOT to develop managerial grounding.
・"Advanced studies on corporate strategy", "Advanced studies on production control", "Advanced studies on quality management", etc.
3. Practical ability backed up with on-site sense
Cultivate practical abilities of identifying and solving problems and ability of developing the experience that are backed up by a sense of manufacturing floor.
・Experience improvements supporting the automobile industry on the spot.
