Outline of program

"Industry-Academia Global Engineering Human Resource Development Program"


Focusing particularly on Asia, this program is sponsoring the recruitment of outstanding, ambitious personnel from across the world to participate in a curriculum featuring industry-academic collaborative research designed to foster a global-oriented, leading-edge technical engineering education.

As well as furnishing students with a deep understanding of technology, this program further aims to cultivate both the students' practical and conceptual abilities, so that they may directly play active roles in the industrial world.

・So that students may be active at the forefront of these worlds, leading-edge research technology will be mastered, supported by a solid and broad knowledge base.

・As well acquiring an extensive body of technical knowledge, the students will also gain the required Japanese language ability in order that they may play an active role as specialists in Japan's industrial world.

・Understanding the duties and roles that engineering must accomplish for society, students will also acquire the necessary abilities and ethical outlook required in order to become an active specialist in the industrial world.

・Acquiring real experience of how innovation can transform society, students will further gain the ability to be able to independently discover research topics and to undertake scientific research.

・Through gaining an advanced knowledge of the Japanese language coupled with understanding of Japanese culture, students will acquire the ability to directly contribute to society as specialist leaders in the industrial world.

・Courses including industry-academic collaboration and interdisciplinary fields.

Students will gain real-world study experience by cooperative interaction with the industrial world through industry-academic research internships and so on.

Goal of human resources development

The Program is aimed at promoting the development of innovative specialist personnel who can make a significant contribution to industry and cultivate both the students' practical and conceptual abilities, so that they may directly play active roles in the industrial world.
