Outline of program

"Partnership Program for Human Resources Development for Energy and Environmental Technologies"


Develop human resources for energy-conscious and environmentally-conscious manufacturing in addition to the knowledge on the major of the student, based on the importance of Cool Earth promotion concept. Enhance global competitiveness of Japanese companies as well as a function as a gateway to Asia in Kyushu through the construction and implementation of a consistent program from acceptance of foreign students from Asia to employment in Japanese companies under business-academia collaboration.


■Program for development and demonstration of specialized education under business-academia collaboration

Specialized program under collaboration with the industries

■Exercises for Business Japanese language and Japanese for science and technology

This program is opened for foreign students not only for simply learning the language, but, as culmination of various courses implemented in the current International Student Center, for deeply understanding the actual relations of people in the Japanese communities as a background of the language, being involved in the relationship, and for learning how to build a reliable communication.


■Japanese business education program

Foreign students learn Japanese corporate culture such as "how to use polite words and phrases" and "how to behave" for the further understandings of Japanese business styles.
Meeting to exchange opinions with employees of participating companies and company visits are arranged under this program.


■Internship program

Representatives of the companies to receive foreign students in the internship program introduce company profiles and corporate strategies during the lectures such as "Special lecture on energy and environmental engineering 1" and "Special lecture on Japanese industries" so that foreign students can select a company for internship after receiving information on the company. After the internship, "Meeting for the report of the achievement" will be held with participants from the university as well as the companies which accepted students and further from other companies in a wider range of industries, aiming to review the effect of the program and promote the system.


■Job hunting support program

With cooperation from companies participating in this program, "Job hunting support seminar" will be held and Website with corporate information, employment information, desired human resources, etc. exclusively for foreign students will be newly launched. Furthermore, brochures for Japanese companies will be created and distributed in order to cultivate companies to employ foreign students.

■Survey program

Conduct a survey on foreign students' attitude towards the project, a survey to cultivate new needs from companies and a survey to create text books.


■Program to promote foreign students

Promotion to the excellent foreign students for studying in Kyushu University through the explanation seminars (recruiting activities) overseas with collaboration with major universities in Asia. Create brochures and develop website (in English, Chinese and Korean) to implement active PR activities.


■Project management program

Establish a structure for the promotion of the program including development of specialized program corresponding with the needs from the target companies of this program and administration of the demonstration courses, aiming to enhance global competitiveness of Japanese companies and the function as a gateway to Asia in Kyushu.

Theme

Foster excellent foreign students who have acquired Japanese language skills, basic abilities in the specialized field and a business sense to play a key role in a Japanese company and who have expanded the view for manufacturing to be conscious of Cool Earth concept.

Goal of human resources development

Human resources who can actively play a core role in business scenes such as manufacturing field in Japanese companies and overseas Japanese companies and who are fully conscious of the promotion of Cool Earth concept to realize manufacturing with a consideration for reuse of resources, energy saving, production efficiency, etc.
